 Cereal Ingredients Inc., a privately held, employee-owned specialty ingredients manufacturer, is
dedicated to the pursuit of the development, manufacture, and support of unique, high quality products that contribute a meaningful point of difference to each of our customers. Cereal Ingredients has seven worldwide ingredient and process patents and has filed for six additional patents. The company exports nearly 30 percent of its products to 18 countries and has increased its export sales by 76 percent from 2005 through 2008 and has been named the Kansas Exporter of the Year. The company enjoys the special role of helping customers make new products and innovations a reality. As a result, the majority of the products we sell are specially formulated to fit individual customers needs. |
The company produces food particulates that add flavor, texture and color to baked goods and ready-to-eat (RTE) cereals, as well as pre-blended mixes to create added flavor and swirl effects in bread products. Called Flav-R-Bites®, the particles are specially formulated for specific client needs, are offered in a variety of sizes, flavors and textures, and are produced using CII’s patented "cold extrusion" product and process technology. In addition to baked goods and cereals, other food applications include ice cream, nutritional foods, streusel, and other crunches and toppings. |
CII’s newest product line, Nutri-Bites®, utilizes two new cooked extrusion lines to produce high protein crisps and whole grain balls in the new Cereal Ingredients Technology Center. These new products add to the CII family of health and wellness products and follows the successful launch of the Nutri-Bites Whole Grain Balls in 2007. Cereal Ingredients R&D is developing other innovative nutritious Nutri-Bites products that will be marketed in the near future. Nutri-Bites®, consists of particles with special nutritional qualities such as extra levels of protein, vitamins or minerals. Most Nutri-Bites are used in high nutrition food bars.
Most CII products are sold with non-trans fat formulations and international products are sold non-GMO. The products are all certified for food purity with the majority certified Kosher/Parve and the balance certified Kosher/Dairy or produced under the Islamic certification, Halal. Additionally, each year since 2004, CII has received the GMA “SAFE” certification for the food processing industry and a “Superior” rating from AIB each year since 2002.
